January saw the launch of a new partnership between London’s riverside development, The Capston, and British wellbeing brand La Eva.

The brand of choice in destinations including Claridge’s, Estelle Manor, Petersham Nurseries and select Six Senses properties, this marks La Eva’s first-ever partnership with a residential development.

The collaboration will see La Eva treatments introduced to The Capston’s dedicated wellness space, The Retreat, where La Eva-trained therapists will offer a bespoke menu of treatments combining sound, scent and massage. The Retreat will also feature a state-of-the-art gym, reformer Pilates and Aerial Pilates, a Hydro Pool overlooking a Japanese-inspired water garden, hot and cold therapy spaces and treatment rooms.

The partnership was celebrated with an evening event at The Capston sales gallery, bringing together design, property and wellbeing press and tastemakers. Guests were introduced to La Eva’s approach through a sensorial journey of its signature scents, paired with botanical cocktails.

Founder Louisa Canham also led an engaging discussion exploring the relationship between scent, wellbeing and cognitive function, drawing on her background as a clinical psychologist and La Eva’s evidence-based approach to wellbeing. The conversation offered an insight into the thinking behind La Eva’s products and treatments, and the role that sensory experiences can play in our everyday lives.

The partnership will extend into residents’ homes, with a suite of bespoke La Eva x The Capston products being created exclusively for residents. Featuring artwork by master craftsman Stuart Suckling, who also created The Capston’s distinctive stained-glass foyer ceiling, the products bring together La Eva’s focus on sensory wellbeing with The Capston’s wider commitment to art, craftsmanship and considered design.

Brian De’ath, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at Ballymore, comments:

As a developer, we are continually evolving our amenities to meet our buyers’ lifestyles, and a  holistic, future-focused approach to wellness is central to that.   Spa spaces in private developments can often be overlooked, but we set out to provide our  residents with facilities that stand alongside London’s leading hotels and independent spas.  Our partnership with La Eva reflects this ambition, adding another layer of excellence to our  service offering for residents. The Capston has been conceived as a showcase of outstanding  art, design and materiality, and La Eva’s commitment to working with artisans and  craftspeople aligns seamlessly with our vision for the building.
